What’s Next for Ethereum?
article ETHClassic is back with a new version, Ethereum Classic 0.8.3, which brings a number of minor improvements and fixes to the program.
For example, it’s now possible to send ether from your wallet to any address in Ethereum Classic.
It’s also now possible for people to send ETH from a wallet in Ethereum to any other address in the Ethereum Classic network.
The code also makes a number new RPC calls, including one that allows for the creation of an encrypted channel between two addresses, or between a wallet and the Ethereum network.
Ethereum Classic’s main goal is to be the first fully decentralized blockchain platform with a fully decentralized codebase, but that’s not entirely the case.
The protocol is still in beta and is in the early stages of development.
But this is not a setback for the Ethereum community, as the developers of Ethereum Classic are working to push it to a final release, with the aim of allowing people to run it on their computers and smartphones.
If you want to get your hands on a new Ethereum Classic wallet, the developers suggest you use the new wallet, version 0.9.0, and download the latest build of the Ethereum client.
